Will eyelash extensions damage my natural lashes?
This is a pretty common question many women ask themselves when looking into eyelash extensions for the first time and even more so when there is a myth out there that extensions are not safe. I mean we all do this don't we? We all want to know the information that is available about any and all beauty products and services to make sure that it is safe and that you won't end up regretting it later. So are eyelash extensions safe? Will they damage my natural lashes? The answers are YES and NO respectively. Eyelash extensions are safe and it is one of the reasons so many women love them and get them! I mean what woman would not love to wake up with thick luscious lashes every morning and cut their morning beauty routine by half without the need to apply mascara?! I know I love it! It is a hot trend and it only seems to be picking up in popularity among women of all ages.
Extensions will always be safe as long as the person applying them knows what they are doing. This is the key factor that pretty much answers both questions asked. So words of advice if you have never had them applied and are looking for a salon or professional: please don't make the mistake of getting eyelash extensions by someone who 1. Does not have a cosmetology/aesthetician license (where required) 2. Has not been certified to apply eyelash extensions by a reputable company. If there are any horror stories out there regarding getting eyelash extensions, they most likely involve the person going to an untrained individual. A trained professional/technician will only use professional products which consist of synthetic, silk or mink lashes (I currently use synthetic in case you are wondering) and professional grade adhesive that will bond the extensions well onto your natural lashes. A trained professional will know how to apply each extension to your natural lashes one-by-one without damaging them or more importantly, your eyes. But please be sure not to rub your eyes, tug or pull on the extensions as this can cause lash loss and yes, even damage your natural lashes. When lashes are applied properly to each individual lash you will leave looking gorgeous and then wonder how you ever lived without them in the first place.
